Is my phone eSIM compatible?
The reliable check takes ten seconds and happens on the phone, not in this page. A browser cannot see whether your handset has an eSIM chip, and a site that claims otherwise is guessing from your user agent.
The dialler check
Open the phone dialler and enter *#06#. If an EID appears alongside the IMEI, the handset has an eSIM. No EID means no eSIM, whatever the spec sheet says about the model — regional variants differ.
The settings check
- iPhone: Settings → Mobile Service → Add eSIM. If the option is missing, the device does not support it.
- Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add. Wording varies by manufacturer.
Two things that catch people out
A carrier-locked handset can have eSIM hardware and still refuse a second profile — the lock, not the chip, is the blocker. And some models sold in mainland China ship without eSIM support even though the same model elsewhere has it.
