What a byline means here
A name on a page is only worth something if it comes with a method attached.
The figures are not written by hand
Prices, plan counts and medians come from providers' own catalogues, read on a schedule. A writer chooses what to say about them and cannot edit the numbers themselves.
Somebody else checks it
A review date is recorded by a person, separately from saving the page, so fixing a typo does not reset it. Where nobody has recorded one, the page says when the catalogues were last read instead of claiming a review that did not happen.
Commission cannot move a ranking
No payout figure reaches the code that orders any table on this site, and a unit test fails if the ranking code so much as mentions one.
