What to know about Turkey
Turkey has the highest 5G share in our entire catalogue at 65%, and is unusually cheap for the region: a median of 0.94 USD per gigabyte from 2,524 plans — more than any other market we track — across 10 providers.
95% of plans permit hotspot, and allowances average about 15 GB over 25 days.
The critical thing to check is whether your plan covers Turkey at all. It is geographically European, but a large share of Europe-wide bundles exclude it outright, alongside Russia and Belarus. Buying a European regional plan and assuming Istanbul is included is one of the commonest and most expensive mistakes in this category. Read the covered-country list, not the region name.

Match the allowance to the trip, not the price
The average plan sold here is 25.7 GB over 29 days. Buying the cheapest plan and topping up twice usually costs more than buying the right size once — check whether the plan supports top-up before relying on it.
Treat "unlimited" as a threshold
628 plans here are sold as unlimited. Almost all mean full speed up to a fair-use threshold and throttling after it. Compare those on price per day; a price per gigabyte for an unlimited plan is a number with no denominator.
Check the network, not the brand
59% of plans here advertise 5G, but the network belongs to a local host operator. The provider table below shows which operators each reseller actually rides — that is what decides coverage once you leave the city.
Know when the clock starts
Some plans start counting at purchase, some on install, some on first connection at the destination. A seven-day plan bought three days early is a four-day plan if it starts at purchase. Where a provider does not publish the trigger, we mark it unknown rather than guess.

How to install
Most phones released since 2019 do. Dial *#06# — if an EID number appears alongside the IMEI, the handset has an eSIM. A carrier-locked phone may still refuse a second profile.
Buy while you still have reliable internet. Whether to install immediately depends on when the plan's clock starts — check the activation trigger on the plan you chose.
The provider emails a QR code. On iOS: Settings → Mobile Service → Add eSIM. On Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add. Keep the code; some providers let you reinstall with it, others do not.
This is the step people miss. A travel eSIM is technically roaming on a host network, so data roaming must be enabled for that line — and turned off for your home line, unless you want a bill.

The default order is a published formula: value percentile, feature completeness, data freshness, provider accuracy, coverage fit, first-party ratings and promo availability. Commission weight is zero, and no payout data reaches the ranking code at all.
Refresh
Prices are re-read continuously and this page was last recomputed on 12 October 2026. A sync whose numbers move implausibly is rejected rather than published.
