Belgium is small and sits at the centre of Europe's densest rail network — Brussels to Amsterdam, Paris, Cologne and London are all under two hours. That makes a national plan a poor fit for most trips, because a great many visitors cross a border during their stay without thinking of it as international travel. Price a European regional bundle first. The exception worth noting is London: since Brexit, many European plans exclude the United Kingdom entirely.

Treat "unlimited" as a threshold
77 plans here are sold as unlimited. Almost all mean full speed up to a fair-use threshold and throttling after it. Compare those on price per day; a price per gigabyte for an unlimited plan is a number with no denominator.
Check the network, not the brand
52% of plans here advertise 5G, but the network belongs to a local host operator. The provider table below shows which operators each reseller actually rides — that is what decides coverage once you leave the city.
Know when the clock starts
Some plans start counting at purchase, some on install, some on first connection at the destination. A seven-day plan bought three days early is a four-day plan if it starts at purchase. Where a provider does not publish the trigger, we mark it unknown rather than guess.

How to install
Most phones released since 2019 do. Dial *#06# — if an EID number appears alongside the IMEI, the handset has an eSIM. A carrier-locked phone may still refuse a second profile.
Buy while you still have reliable internet. Whether to install immediately depends on when the plan's clock starts — check the activation trigger on the plan you chose.
The provider emails a QR code. On iOS: Settings → Mobile Service → Add eSIM. On Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add. Keep the code; some providers let you reinstall with it, others do not.
This is the step people miss. A travel eSIM is technically roaming on a host network, so data roaming must be enabled for that line — and turned off for your home line, unless you want a bill.
